Save all your pennies for the vacation of a lifetime on the island of Kauai. The best way to start saving is by booking your place at a condominium in Kapaa with Brad Kreller at KrellersGetaway. The grounds are very tropical and well maintained with beautiful active birds and pretty flowering plants and beautiful landscaping. Within walking distance there is a open plaza with activities (Hula show on Wed) and a variety of food options and shops (Chicken in a Barrel was great), a coffee shop, a beautiful beach with big skies, beautiful sunrises and ample lounge chairs, a Beach Club next door to Islander on the Beach resort called Lava Lava (great beach drinks and food and a Thursday show with Diane (from Cirque de Soileil) and Dan(they were captivating). The condo price was very affordable and had all we needed: two queen beds, two refrigerators, a microwave and kitchenware. We slept with the sliders open to the sounds of birds and ocean waves every night. As far as activities, if you are an active person this is the place for you. In seven days we hiked Waiman canyon on Waipoo Falls trail, had lunch at Bob's Canoe, hiked the Heritage Trail to the caves and tortoise farm from Shipwreck Beach, had great breakfasts at Olympic, Pono Coffee, Java Kai, hiked Sleeping Giant, rented bikes from Hele bikes and biked the bike trail in Kappa and stopped at the remote beaches along the trail, had a Mexican dinner at Mariachi's, canoed to Secret Fall and Fern Grotto, ate dinner at Sam's Ocean View, hiked 8 miles on the Kalalau Trail to Hanakapiai Beach and then onto the Hanakapiai Falls by taking the Haena shuttle, went to the Luau Kalamaku,(awesome with great tropical drinks food and Hawaiian fokelore and dancing, went on a Sunshine Helicopter tour to see the famous Waialeale crater (where it rains the most on the Earth) and the Jurassic Falls, waterfall repelled with Da Life Outdoors, went on a rafting and snorkeling tour (swam with sea turtles and colorful fish) on the Napali Coast with Captain J's Kauai Offshore Adventures, ate fresh fish at Port Allen Sunset Grille and Bar, ate Opihi chocolates at the Kauai Chocolate store, toured the beautiful Allerton and McBride Gardens with the Jurassic Park trees , saw the Blowhole near the gardens, had coffees, homemade ice cream and a self guided tour at the Kauai coffee company (try the banana and the rum coffee), saw sea turtles at PoiPu beach and had the famous Puka Hawaiian Style Hot dogs at the PoiPu beach, saw many beautiful beaches and waterfalls and ended with ballroom dancing at Kukui square to a 14 piece orchestra near the airport on our way out. All these activities tended to be very pricey but were priceless ways to experience the beauty of the island. By staying at Brad's instead of a fancy resort you do many more activities instead. Brad answered every question promptly and was very accommodating for all our needs. So make your tropical paradise dream come true, skip the resorts, be adventurous and live it up at KrellersGetaway. It was definitely a YOLO trip for us - Paradise on the Garden Island of Kauai.

We had an amazing stay at Islander On The Beach unit 324. The unit is small but has everything we needed to feel comfortable. The oceanfront view from the lanei is a million dollar view of the ocean. I miss sleeping to the sound of the waves! We love staying in Kapaa; its a super chill area, and has so much to offer! There is a farmers market steps from the condo, a walking/running/biking path along the ocean right outside the door, easy access to all parts of the island. We found beautiful beaches near by where we had the whole beach to ourselves, and had great snorkeling! We will most definitely be back!!! Malaho Tina and Cyr

I absolutely loved our Room 324! The view of the ocean is gorgeous. The updates that were done in the room & bathroom are wonderful and gorgeous. I felt very "at home" and comfortable in this room - not at all like a stale generic pale blah hotel room. Instead the paint colors are pretty & cozy. The furniture is great between the large dress, table area, and work desk. The kitchenette has a nice counter work area with the microwave & other items out of the way on a shelf. The bathroom is updated with pretty tile, a great medicine cabinet to keep things off the counter, and great updates. The tv is wonderfully large sized. This will definitely be my room again if I ever come back to Kauai. :)
