New Horizon Academy

I am very happy with my sons care at this center. The teachers in the infant and toddler room are all great. They greet my son happily each day and say goodbye when he leaves. The communication is excellent with the teachers and the director. He enjoys himself and has learned a lot!

I dont like to share bad reviews, but finding childcare is so hard. Mom to mom, not only would I say dont bring your kids here, I feel guilty for keeping my kids here for as long as I have (8 months). In that amount of time, my 2 year old has been left unchanged all day (and they tried to lie about it), hes come home with poop caked on his clothes twice (I always pack him extra clothes), and hes been bit by a kid twice his age (among many other bites but I know thats developmental) and those are just the lowlights. My 4 year old doesnt take a nap and in the beginning was made to sit on his cot for 2 hours. He tells me kids have hit him with shoes. Ive witnessed a teacher screaming at other 4 year olds (once for opening an unsecured door). He once came home and told me that a teacher called him her boyfriend. They force hugs, give pet names, and tell the kids they love them, which is too far in my opinion. NHA seem like they have a lot of programs but their communication falls flat. One time a teacher called my son by the wrong name and when I corrected her she said same thing. To their credit, I understand we are in unprecedented difficulties in the childcare landscape, some of the teachers are trying, and the director at least acknowledges their failures, but thats where it ends.

I always feel confident that my child is well cared for at New Horizon! The teachers are so kind, the policies are appropriate and my child has fun every day.

The teachers at NHA are amazing! They treat our son like family, and he looks forward to going to school every day! They're incredibly communicative, and we appreciate knowing exactly what's happening throughout the day.
