I used this program recently to start my career as a DA. Ultimately it looked impressive on my resume, and I was able to get a job quickly after finishing the class. My only complaint is that I think the class is over priced and the teacher misused the word retarded almost every class, which was inappropriate and unprofessional. Other than that, the class was fine and teachings were relevant and useful to my experience so far as a dental assistant.

I finished the Assist to Succeed program November of 2020. I loved ATS, it worked great with my work schedule, it was quick, challenging, and prepared me for the dental field! The instructor was willing to help one on one during class, and was just a text away to answer questions during the week. I would highly recommend this program to anyone wanting to be a dental assistant and is willing to study hard.

After just finishing the spring class, I would not recommend this course to anyone. The material you learn is so unnecessary and outdated. We were promised so much more than we received and the teacher wasnt even able to answer most questions. Majority of our clinical time was just learning how to do x-rays, which might I add, are the kind that you dont see in any office these days. The homework portion of this class felt so looked over as well. Everything we learned through the homework, was taught so differently in class and I felt so lost most of the time. The dentist that runs the office and school, only came in twice throughout the whole class, one of which was the final day. He was extremely unprofessional and made everyone feel uncomfortable in every way. He was yelling and getting mad that we didnt know certain things and made 2 out of 3 students cry. He very aggressively grabbed us and treated us SO BAD. After the test, the teacher still tried to stand up for him, but never considered how we felt. I was so excited to take this course, because I felt like it would give me some experience and knowledge before starting a job in the field. Overall, this course was such a waste of money and time and I wouldve much rather just started a job knowing absolutely nothing.

I just finished the spring class, and I would say that I wasted my money. This program is not worth the stress and money you spend. They literally teach you the basics, and not correctly I might add. They use a book that we do homework out of and they contradict the book, which in my eyes why use the book if you are going to go against it. Also everything they teach you is outdated. Why are we learning outdated curriculum? Also the final week of the course you have to do a clinical test with the dentist that runs the school. He is very rude and very unprofessional. We was super aggressive in his words and proceeded to touch and adjust me without my consent. There were 3 of us in the class and two of us left crying after being tested by the dentist. This school is not worth anything. If I would have known what was going to happen and what would be taught I would not have taken it. Also the course was originally a 12 week course, but they keep shortening it, which I paid for a 12 week course but supposedly got taught everything in 9 weeks.

Now that they are advertising again I hope to share my experience so others dont make the same mistake! Let me start by saying that you do not need a certificate to be a dental assistant! I have run into multiple dental offices that frowned upon this class because it literally teaches you nothing. They would rather train you everything the correct way and you save $5,000! The trainer is incredibly rude and not helpful. She has a better than you attitude and made my entire class feel extremely uncomfortable and awkward. The price is astronomical considering you basically just learn a basic understanding of things most people already know, plus taking X-rays that 95% of dental offices in the area dont use because its so outdated. You get to practice with the dentist for 5-10 mins for your final. Its almost funny how ridiculous this class truly is. The dentist made several rude comments to me and the other students in the class and blamed it on our lack of studying and not taking it seriously instead of admitting the material the program provides is absolute garbage. Please please save your money!
