Was such a lovely facial with Nessie! She was so sweet, walked me through and explained each step of the process, and did such a great job with my skin. Felt and looked great by the end

My esthetician Vanessa was very professional and explained everything she was doing during the session which I was unfamiliar with and that helped calm me down throughout that whole process and I feel that the session went quite well it was definitely an experience and I'm looking forward to doing another session in the future.

I waited to write this review after I finished school and secured a job in the field. Now that it has happened, I feel obligated to write my review as someone who toured this school in May of 2022. I had just toured Douglas J Aveda Institute in Lake View East and had a good experience. They had an admissions counselor, a guided tour and a meeting room with plenty of hand outs. At the minimum, Aveda had organization. I had high hopes for G Skin Institute. I walked in about 10 minutes before my scheduled tour and no one was at there to greet me. Fine. After 5 minutes, someone came to take me on my tour. We went in a quick circle and I saw one student there. They were open, but no clients were there and only one student. The structure was very odd, as they only had to be at the school a few days a week for a few hours. When were they supposed to get experience on real clients for practical experience? Anyway, the tour lasted for 5 minutes. I didnt belive the tour was over mostly because I hadnt learned anything or recieved any brochures about the school. I left very upset and disappointed. Then, I got on the elevator and the one student that I met joined me on the elevator to tell me, Whatever you do, do not come here. We have no teachers and we are teaching ourselves. I am done in July, so Im sticking it out, but seriously, do not come here and waste your time and money. Wow. Thank you to that student and I hope youre out there being successful, whoever you are. The manager person still texted me the next week and asked how it went, I told her what I am telling you all now and she said Sorry to hear that, I will let my manager know. Okay If you have made it this far in my review, please check out Douglas J Aveda Institute if youre serious about getting licensed or at the very least, go anywhere but G Skin Institute.

Pretty happy with the services offered here, always friendly staff! Had maybe one experience out of many where the student could have used improvement, but then again, this is a school - so I don't mind. Otherwise, 10/10 for the price - just make sure you allot a bit of extra time for your appts!
