Beane Hall

Beene Hall for a conference was too hot. The windows don't open and the heat was at around 78 each day. Conference food was typical service food. Building security policy for left items is overly stringent. We had left a brand new jacket there and went home (not in Chicago). While the security guard said the jacket was there, they also said they were not allowed to remove the clothing item per university policy. Even to just put it somewhere so that someone could pick it up? Our colleague tried to collect it but the building was locked. The next day, the jacket was gone. We have spent time and effort to try to get that jacket back and because of university policy, and restricted access, it is now gone.
