Real public servants! Today, when completing our grocery shopping the firemen, unprompted, took the time to give my children a tour of their truck, (and bonus: explained the importance of good education and listening to ones parents). It felt like we lived in a small town:). Grateful to these professionals for all their service!

I want to thank the Mt. Prospect Fire Department in Illinois. I hope this is the correct station that handled the call on the Sat evening right before Mothers Day. My 2 year old daughter feel out of the shopping cart head first and was vomiting. The firefighters and paramedics came into the store and assisted us immediately. They helped my kids and I calm down and they came up with a plan when I was too upset to think straight. I am a single mom of 3 kids and the Sergeant drove my car with my other two kids to the hospital as I rode along in the ambulance with my 2 year old. They were compassionate, fast and reassuring. They explained possible outcomes and kept my kids and I safe during the whole ordeal. They also gave my daughter a little stuffed animal to hold in the ambulance on the way to the emergency room. I owe a big thank you to them and all they did to help and all they continue to do. My daughter is ok and returned to normal activity shortly after. Thanks Mount Prospect fire fighters and paramedics for everything!
