Sunrise of Naperville North

My FIL was a resident for 3 days before we moved him to a better place. He was essentially placed in his room and forgotten about. He would have missed two meals if family wasnt there to hunt down someone to get him food. He fell in the bathroom on his second day and it took staff over an hour to get him up off the tile floor. He only weighs about 140lbs. He would press his call light and staff would come in, turn it off, and leave without asking what he needed. We learned later there is a log of how long it takes staff to answer call lights, so it seems that keeping response time low is more of a priority than actually helping the residents. It was a very disappointing experience and based on the sales pitch we expected better care.

My father was a resident in Memory Care at Sunrise. He received exceptional care and our family was comforted that he was in such a loving environment in his final days. The administrator and care team were in regular contact with our family and were always readily available when needed. We all felt the staff truly cared about the residents and it was a very bright and upbeat environment with a lot of activities and music. We never noticed any staffing issues and the staff had a good rapport with each other as well as the residents. I would recommend Sunrise Naperville North to any family seeking Assisted Living or Memory Care for a loved one.
