I work in the dental profession, so I know what is common and acceptable. The doctor himself cleaned my teeth for me because he no longer has a hygienist. He did not even wear a mask. He did not use a Cavitron (water instrument) to clean my teeth; rather, he used only hand instrument, which caused me uncomfortable pressure on my teeth. He was very rough, practically crushing my lips as he pulled them back and cutting my gums. He had no regards for personal space. He face was about 6 inches from my face because he does not use magnifying glasses. He practically stuck the suction down my throat. He did not properly clean my teeth--there were still many areas that needed to be cleaned. I left the office with prophy paste in my mouth and on my face. This was the absolute worst cleaning I have ever had. I never plan on returning.

I have been going to Dave since the mid-80s. He is thorough, professional and will always give you the straight scoop on what you need to have done. Highly recommend him.
