Very pleased with the addition put on our home. Generally remained on timeline, on budget and great communication throughout the project. In house design team makes decision making easy and relieves the effort from the customer to coordinate all the trades. We continue to recommend Reliable to other families who own our model in our neighborhood.

This was our 2nd experience with Reliable, our first being 7 years ago for our Master Bath remodel. That experience was a positive one, no small feat for the large overhaul that we needed done right before the holidays. We were pleased enough to return to Reliable for our spare bath remodel. Unfortunately our second experience was not the stellar one we had the first go round.
The positives:
Design/Design- The creative design ideas presented were exactly what we were looking for, taking our thoughts/preferences into account to help us land on the perfect remodel.
Home Protection- They are masters at bubble wrapping, almost literally, any inch of your home where a worked may step.
Phil (foreman)- Really listens to you & extremely creative & resourceful w/solutioning. He was amazing at coming up with really great solutions to unexpected design issues that not only addressed the issue, but improved things . He is very committed to customer satisfaction and delivering a quality service.
QUALITY Tile work- Esteban was phenomenal, both in his skill/attention to detail & customer service.
Response to water leak/ceiling damage. The leak was traced to some defective valves- no one's fault. The plumber was spot on responsive, even following up with texts on a Saturday to make sure all was still well. Reliable sent folks out to repair the ceiling and provided good options to repair the ruined/warped cabinet floors.
Follow up Cleaning Service stipend- Goes to the 'Listening' of our foremen. I commented that it would be nice if Reliable offered a post project cleaning service. After a renovation project, your house needs a deep clean. We received a $150 check post project thanking us for our business and offering the check as a means to obtain a cleaning (or whatever else we chose).
The disappointments:
Expectation Setting/Communication/timing were poor. Ours was a TWELVE week project (for a small spare bath). Communication was really lacking. We were constantly asking and not getting answers, sometimes for days. No notifications when schedules changed. Several times, we had to call a third time at 4:00 on the day someone was expected to find out that they aren't coming, causing us to have missed plans that we otherwise could have kept.
Quality issues-There will always be something, but these were so avoidable..
1. really poor drywall work/quality- we had to call out the misses and have them come back multiple times for BASIC work (finish sanding/ re do mudding cause the mix bubbled, gaps, levelling, bowing, you name it) to the point where we asked for a different contractor come to complete the drywall work- particularly for the ceiling repair mentioned above (the second drywallers did a PERFECT job fixing our ceiling- really wish we'd had them for the whole project).
2. poor attention to detail from the carpenter- poorly hung pocket door that required 'solutioning' to fix and jury rigging (he CUT the door to make it fit (cause fitting it as is was hard), without filing the cut, leaving raw splinter filled edges, when the door really should not have been cut at all, it just required more work to hang)
3. Miss hung accessories that we had to RE hang, and then deal with the wall repair (tp holder so far apart the holder pole didn't meet)
4. Massively Scratched toilet lid (they replaced it, but it took forever)
5. Un sunk finishing nails (that could not be sunk because they hit something impenetrable, instead of pulling them, they just left them). Scratched myself on them and we had to try to snap them ourselves so we could finish the paint work required, since Reliable does not provide a painting service.
I know Reliable suffered from staffing issues, as many businesses have been these days, which is tough, and not their fault, but I also think that the preservation of our perception of the company was possible with more attention to planning and communication, and a missed opportunity. We were very excited to begin our first floor remodel after a truly fantastic experience with the design team. However the good ended there, our 7 week remodel turned into a 3 month nightmare that included incorrect countertops, missing cabinets and a superintendent that was fired towards the end of the project. Communication between the field and office seemed to be nonexistent. Now only a few months after completion we are experiencing large gaps in the new wood flooring and drywall separating from the ceiling. Weve been very disappointed in the quality of the product as well as the poor project management. As stated before in prior reviews, weve gotten lots of excuses and fingered pointing instead of accepting responsibility as the project managers. An extremely frustrating experience. Service: Kitchen remodeling

This company is a rippoff and sales there low paid jobs to contractors that cant go independent. Contractors if you have your own customers stay away from this cheap company .
