The workers at this location are great Dr. Dunne took good care of my Sadie after her CHF diagnosis from Animal Medical Center. The vet techs were always kind. The receptionists were also kind but visibly extremely burnt out. I feel like there should be more than 2 at the desk helping out with the volume of calls they get. They were never rude, never took it out on clients but I felt for them. So the people? GREAT. Banfield the company? Their system? HORRIBLE. Horribly unorganized and messy system. When I called to refill my Sadies pimobendan, the receptionist told me that Dr. Faul would be okay with giving me a few tablets until her next appointment with Dr. Dunne But first I needed to make an appointment with Dr. Dunne. I was confused as to WHY because (1) Sadie had just seen her 2 weeks prior to the call and Dr. Dunne recommended that pimobendan stays the same, enalapril stays the same, furosemide decreases. (2) I thought I had already scheduled an appointment with Dr. Dunne when I saw her 2 weeks prior! But my Banfield app said it was now to be with DR. FAUL WHAT?! This was news to me! The future appt was originally made to be with DR. DUNNE AND TO BE 8 DAYS after this phone call! The receptionist told me I needed to call Joliet Banfield and to set up an appt with Dr. Dunne AT JOLIET because due to the doctor shortage they have the vets traveling to different clinics How could you never communicate with me prior to this phone call that Dr. Dunne moved to Joliet location temporarily, that Sadies appointment was to be with Dr. Faul (?!?!) instead of Dr. Dunne?? And I went to call Joliet and they were CLOSED all day. I went to schedule through the app but it did not show any availability for Dr. Dunne at all. The next day Sadie passed away unexpectedly. We put her down so she would no longer suffer. ER vet at Animal Medical Center said the heart murmur had significantly worsened and given the suddenness of it, we suspect Sadie had an arrhythmia. Her heart disease was bad at this point. We do not blame Banfield for her passing but I am still a paying client on their Wellness Plan FOR 13 YEARS and any peace of mind to give to someone with a very sick dog would have been nice. The lack of organization from the company we trusted with our dogs well-being was sickening. I emailed them pouring my heart out about her passing and to please pass along my thanks to Dr. Dunne and the rest of the Banfield staff at this location. I got a dry generic 2 sentence reply. No reassurance. No peace. I received more sympathy from people I knew for 2 hours at Animal Medical Center than the company we had trusted with my dogs care for 13 years. We will be staying far far far away for the sake of our future fur babies. BANFIELD COMPANY please FIX YOUR SYSTEM AND YOUR COMMUNICATION so that your clients and your employees will no longer have to suffer.

After being a loyal customer at Banfield Animal Hospital on 3111 111th St, Naperville, IL 60564 for over 4 years, I've noticed a decline in service quality, difficulty in scheduling appointments, and a much longer wait time since 2019 when they introduced the drop-off and pick-up system due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Unfortunately, this location still operates under this system five years later. Typically, I would pick up my dog after a few hours, with the longest wait being 2-3 hours. However, my recent experience was disheartening. I dropped off my dog at 9:10 am and waited for five hours without any update. Upon calling, I was informed that his file was still open. Frustrated, I canceled the wellness plan and headed to pick him up. I find it unacceptable to have any pet caged up for over 5 hours, especially for a routine 6-month comprehensive exam. Despite being told the veterinarian was in surgery, I believe this is unacceptable. Rescheduling or canceling appointments should be an option. Given this experience, I've decided not to return to this location. The prolonged wait and lack of communication have left me dissatisfied with the service, and I believe my pet deserves better care.
