Dr Hamadeh was my father's pulmonologist. He has absolutely no compassion. His communication skills are the worst I've ever experienced and his unsolicited advice and derogatory comments were abusive. I had simply requested the results of my father's lung x-ray and I was abusively attacked for having had my dad placed on dialysis the previous day. He questioned our moral and ethical decision to provide every opportunity for our father to fight Covid in his final days. We had consulted with a nephrologist, a hospitalist, and a pallative care physician as well as family physicians bit Dr Hamadeh made it clear that only his opinion should have mattered. At a time when my family was trying to cope with the Critical medical condition of our father as well as 21 days of being isolated from him as he suffered a tragic death from Covid alone. Dr Dr Hamadeh was so arrogant he felt the need to raise his voice and attack my families desperate efforts and question my families most difficult decisions in hindsight. Fortunately he was removed from my father's case and the nurses and Drs from Palos hospital did an extremely fine job of providing compassionate care. Maybe if Dr Hamadeh believed in proning and providing convalescent plasma to Covid patients my father would have had a chance. Most of the nations top hospitals for Covid including John Hopkins, mayo Clinic and Northwestern all utilize those treatment as a standard of care but Dr Hamadeh reacts violently to anyone asking why those treatments arent appropriate.
