Ran into an issue with my brakes on the Skokie Trail that we couldn't fix, came in and within 10 minutes was off riding again with the issue fixed, brakes adjusted. Really appreciated the easy manner and support.

Great, smooth experience with Als. Was able to drop off my bike and pick it up for a tuneup within a reasonable amount of time (its busy season for them). I plan to come back for any and all future bicycle needs. Very fair pricing too!

Al's Cycle Shop is a outstanding cycle shop. The staff know what they are doing and will tell you honestly what is going on with any issue you may have. Every time I have come in to get something fixed or am in need of something, Al's is the place I go to.

Terrible experience been going here for years. Larry doesn't like working on my BMX claims it's complex he is rude and disrespectful to me and I been a loyal customer. If he does not want to work on certain bicycles then he needs to advertise what bicycles he's willing to service. He is very sarcastic and rude! He seems overworked and has no one in shop to assist him. He insulted me for riding a 16 year old bike trying to say it's time for a bigger bike and that I should go to an "adult" size. I am of short height and prefer what is right fit for my size regardless if it is a "BMX" I love my bike and if I need repairs he should do the work as I am paying him that's his job working on bikes. Yes my bike isn't the easiest to work on but no other shop in my area has ever given me such grief as Larry. Sad! Lost a loyal customer.
