        Champaign County Auctions did a great job handling items from my mom and dad's house. James was professional and personable, knowledgeable, and showed a sincere interest in the auction items. The process was quick, about six weeks, and was wrapped up with an itemized report that far exceeded my expectations. I would recommend Champaign County Auctions without hesitation, and it's one of the few reviews where I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Great job!

        The folks at Champaign County Auctions & Estates were friendly and very responsive, answering all my questions in a timely manner. They took good care of the objects in my collection and presented them well on their online auction site. The whole process from beginning to end was straightforward and uncomplicated. I can recommend CCAE as an honest, no fuss auction house.

        Bid $55.00 and won a lot of knives. Only one in there worth anything but in the photo's only one side was shown on that particular knife and the reason was the bolster on the one side was totally missing, knife was in very bad shape spring broken lock was broken release was broken. Was quoted $275.00 to fix it from the knife's maker.. I asked questions days in advance but got the "Too late to check on it answer" reply. other knives showed both sides but not the "Valuable" one I feel taken advantage of.. DAMAGED items should be pointed out in photo's or descriptions when selling online. UPDATE 2/4/23 seems this company has changed their name quite a few times must be a way to try to avoid negative reviews. UPDATE 11/19/23 In response to the comment from owner I did contact them and was brushed off and treated badly basically called a liar so the rating is right on. Maybe they are better now but then was ignored and not treated fairly.

      This is the first we have heard of a problem. Why didn't you communicate this problem with our business directly to us? We would have been helpful. It's possible that the person who took the photos was working quickly and did not know there was damage. We also give all customers an opportunity to view the merchandise in person before the auction. If you want to work with us and return the lot, we will happily refund you upon return of the merchandise and a removal of this unfair 2 star rating. UPDATE: This person never contacted us about our offer to return and refund the knives.
