Texwest Amplification

I was looking for a small tube amp for bedroom and open mic practice/ performance and this TEXWEST EL CHARRO does the trick !! There is no Fender Champ that compares to EL CHARRO !! Only one knob that turns it on or off , combine with volume control, no fancy tone knobs you dont need them , use you fingers and the knobs on your guitar to find the killer tone you need !! I brought in a 50's Fender Tremolux for Wes to look at. It had not been serviced in at least 50 years and it was not working right. He meticulously went through every circuit and tested everything. In the end he did a complete rebuild, and now it really sings. I would say it has never sounded so good. The main thing with Wes is that he loves the old tweed amps and knows just about everything about them. So he knows what he is doing AND he is meticulous in his work. You can't go wrong bringing your old tweed to Wes.

Wes worked on my vintage Fender Deluxe. He repaired some stuff, which was why I brought the amp in, but also recommended some mods and tuning that got the amp sounding superb. He knows what vintage amps are capable of...now I do too.

I brought my vintage Fender Princeton Reverb in to check it over and potentially add some modifications to it. Wes is extremely knowledgeable and very thorough. After discussing what I wanted from the amp, he recommended some modifications. He completed my amp in a very timely fashion and when I got it back it was like a whole new amp. I really cant say enough about how fantastic it sounds. I would recommend Wes for any amp repairs. You can tell he really cares because of the quality of the work and the attention to detail.
