Eastland Suites Hotel & Conference Center - Urbana/Champaign

I traveled with my 94 yr old Mom to So IL to see the Solar Eclipse from WI. Was worried--no reservation. Staff, guests were fabulous! She loved her bed, breakfast, and her new friends. Rooms: Rm was very clean and large. We each got a bed. It was last minute, and staff helped me get a good deal, even handicap accessible tub/shower. Clean hallways, clean, generous hot Breakfast area. Terrific. Mom loved it. Safety: I felt very safe. We parked by a door. I got Mom in. Rm was 1/2 way down hallway, but walking helped Mom with her PT. I got one card key. Mom could sleep close to bathroom. Locked door. Comfy beds. Food & drinks: There was a tiny bar "affair" and a staff person took my order from a sheet of white paper for the "3 chicken tacos for $5" for both of us. Ordered two waters. We were kind of lost and hungry! I didn't see restaurants close, but Mom could not have made it there, nor I. Long day.

East Stays Suits were an okay stay for a one night stay for some tired travelers. Good deal for one night. Although we noticed things kind of falling apart in the bathroom, loose hardware and caulking coming off of things. Bed were okay, but small. I thought they werent comfortable but my husband said they were fine. Breakfast was good with some good options.

Do not come to this hotel, you may get sick, the housekeeping cleans the dishes with the same sponges that clean the bathrooms because the new owner does not buy anything to save money, and in all the rooms there are cockroaches and the toilets are only cleaned with a cloth, no one washes them well. because they have few staff and they have to do the cleaning very quickly and there are never any good liquids to clean because the new owner who is a Hindu does not want to hire staff to save money
