I had a great experience with New Prairie Solar installation! I especially like that they routed the electrical conduit in the attic instead of on top of roof shingles. Professional Look! They met every timeline and cost. And the solar system is generating more power than I use! And they are a local company. Highly recommend them.

A friend and I both decided to go solar, so worked together on selecting a company. We both chose New Prairie Construction. New Prairie is truly local - the company was started locally and has remained local throughout its history. This was important because if there would ever be a problem 10 years down the road, there was good probability that the company could be reached and would be responsive more quickly than a company from other areas with crews from other locations. New Prairie worked with me to get the lead free panels that I wanted. Both the city inspector and Ameren inspector commented on the good quality of the installation. The city inspector was familiar with the work of New Prairie and commented that I had made a good decision in choosing them. Of 5 companies that we investigated, New Prairie had the best price of the companies that were local, established, and with the quality of product we wanted. Whenever I emailed questions to Nate or other staff, I always received a reply. I was given a list of what to expect for each step of the process and the list was accurate. I was kept informed throughout the process. The installation team was friendly, and cleaned up after themselves. I highly recommend New Prairie Construction for solar installation.

New Prairie Solar was very professional and helpful every step of the way. They also provided a free estimate and patiently explained all of the permitting, crediting systems, etc. I strongly recommend them to anyone in the area considering solar. EDIT - Since I've had friends deal with scummier solar companies, I want to call out what made NPS different: - They are a solar installation company, part of a general contracting company that's been around the area for quite a while. They are NOT a financing company, as many of the nationwide solar companies really are. - They had a zero-pressure sales process, just a couple of friendly folks who came and reviewed my house and asked questions, followed by an email proposal. - They tailored the proposal and estimate to MY HOUSE, including reviewing my utility hookup, electrical box, and taking pictures of my roof and showing exactly what would go where. - They not only don't claim the green credits for themselves (many do, check the fine print!), they walked me through the process of applying for them and did as much as they could for me.
