During my time with State Farm, I experienced very poor customer service. I was also fined by the NC DMV due to my agents (Nick Smith) negligence to acknowledge state laws and regulations. My agents insisted that my vehicles were legally registered, and collected premiums on both vehicles. Upon receiving notice that I did have to pay the fine, and that I was also looking at having my tags revoked for 30 day, I reached out to my agent once again. I was told that since I was no longer a state farm customer (I went back to Geico) that they would not be speaking with me, and not to contact them again??? I demanded a contact number to lodge a complaint and to speak with a supervisor. I was denied both, told that they 'didn't have that number'? I was also told that they were independent contractors and that they could do business any way they wanted to?  Agent refuses to speak to me, or return any of my calls. I eventually got someone from the underwriting department to contact the NC DMV via a three way call. The NC DMV was very clear that my agent was not licensed to ensure my two vehicles registered in NC. I lodged a complaint with the BBB, with State Farm, as well as with the State Commissioner of Insurance. I am outraged at State Farm and demand that every cent of my premiums be returned. I also believe that State Farm should be responsible for reimbursing the fines I have had to pay. I lodged my complaint with State Farm against my agent three days ago . . . specifically noting that it was a time sensitive issue and STILL not had any one from state farm make any effort to contact me?I would NOT recommend my agent, or this company to anyone.
