Karma Trade is a Thrift Store in Urbana IL, we are Your Shared Closet. Got clothes you don't wear? Bring them to Karma Trade and swap for new outfits. Karma Trade is a zero waste clothing swap service. As a UIUC based startup, we are run by undergraduate students. How it works: 1) Swap in your pre-loved clothes for Karma Points (1KP = $1 store credit), anytime we are open. 2) Swap out new outfits from our shop in downtown Urbana, using your Karma Points. We ask for a $2 service fee per item you swap out. 3) Repeat. Embrace the circular fashion lifestyle. For every item you swap, one less item is created and wasted. From clothing production, an average pair of jeans can irreversibly pollute an 45 bathtubs of freshwater with toxic fabric dyes.
