Brookdale Bloomington

This place has been revamped with new management and staff! It is clean, bright and homey at the same time. The residents are well cared for and ENGAGED! There are many common areas with comfortable furniture. The outdoor garden space is beautiful with flower beds sidewalks and seating areas. The apartments come in a variety of sizes and all are new and clean! with oversized bathrooms and closets! The setting is lovely too...trees, manicured grass, lighted walkways. I met the staff and exec director, nursing supervisor /health management/marketing sales/dietary what a great bunch of people! I look forward to moving my mom here as I know she will be getting the care she needs and will still have her "own" space with 24 hr care. and more personalized. Also, Brookdale is smaller and more personalized. If you are looking for a "retirement Community" Brookdale does have one just not in the facility I am reviewing! I AM REVIEWING ASSISTED LIVING ONLY!

My Family member had always lived by them selves and was a very private and independent person. When it became clear that he was struggling and not able to maintain a suitable living environment on his own he was very resistant to accepting this fact. I did a lot of research of places in the local area starting with recommendations from his physician and healthcare professionals. Brookdale appeared to be the best choice based on its relatively small size, having a Nurse on staff 24/7 and there excellent record on COVID-19 reports. I knew this was likely to be a very difficult task for the staff due to his pride and insistence on being independent (even though everyone there assured me they have done this before). Everyone at Brookdale did a wonderful job helping and making him feel at home while adjusting to his new surroundings. I believe he has gained good friends that he feels are like family with many of the Brookdale Staff. In conclusion the Brookdale living center in Bloomington, IN. Has provided 3 good meals a day, a clean living environment and a responsive staff with caregivers to help him with the things that he is no longer able to do him self. I cant emphasize enough how glad I am to have to have chosen Brookdale for my loved one.

I would highly recommend Brookdale Senior Living! Their staff are so caring and they always go up and beyond for the families. Tanalee Chapman is phenomenal in her role at Brookdale, and I am honored to be able to witness it. She truly loves all the residents and it shows! Kim Watson is a class act who is so kind and supportive to al those around her. What a blessing Brookdale Senior Living is to our Community!
