    The salon is beautiful with a welcoming atmosphere. I brought inspiration photos with me, and Margaret delivered exactly what I wanted! She is very friendly and talented. I was very comfortable and I love the result! I cannot wait to go back for another appointment! Highly recommend

    I had an unfortunate incident with the salon today. The service provided by my stylist, Danielle, has been very good since I started going to the salon six months ago. However, I can't speak as positively about the salon operations. Here's the background. Apparently, I booked an appointment for Dec 11th in October and an appointment for Dec 20th in November. It was my mistake that only the Dec 20th appointment was put in my calendar. But, the receptionist booked the same service (a partial highlight) two weeks in row without making me aware of this double booking. Because I didn't cancel today's appointment within 24 hours, I was charged for the service. I have two issues: (1) the salon sends out appointment reminders for Monday appointments on the weekend when they are closed so you can't cancel an appointment without being charged. Why aren't these reminders sent out on the prior Friday so their clients have time to cancel their Monday appointments?(2) the receptionist booked a highlight on Dec 20th when I already had the same exact service booked on Dec. 11th. Why didn't she bring this to my attention? This entire situation could have been avoided had she brought to my attention that I had the same service booked two weeks apart. Why would I be getting a highlight two weeks in row? I was charged the full amount, $115, for today's highlight service because it is their policy that you pay for the service if you don't cancel within 24 hours. I totally understand why they have this policy. I owned a salon. However, I disagree with how I was treated. I would have been happy to split the $115 since we both contributed to the problem. However, they would not budge from their policy. They also were very dismissive and rude when I broached them about the issue. I should mention that I show up for my scheduled appointments on time. As I mentioned, the service is good but I generally have to wait a 10-15 minutes for my stylist (probably because they double book appointments), and they don't treat their customers respectfully or appreciate the business. Needless to say, I won't be returning to the salon. Notice too that I don't generally leave bad reviews. This one really irritated me.

Hi Kristine, I’d like to take the time and clear some things up and clarify where there seems to be some confusion. Your appointment today was booked in November and the appointment on the 20th was booked in October. The receptionist booking it checked to see that you had seen Danielle before and once she saw you were a client of hers she went on booking the appointment you were requesting. She didn’t notice that you had the 20th already booked when you called in to schedule your appointment for today. We apologize that that was missed. Our confirmation texts are sent 2 days in advance, so your text for today was sent Saturday, and we are not closed on Saturdays so you absolutely could have called to cancel when you received that text. Even on days we aren’t open, you are welcome to call and leave a message and we honor the time of the voicemail as your cancellation time. As previously mentioned, our service providers rely on booked appointments for their wages, and per the cancellation policy you were told and signed, if you no show we charge 100% of the service amount to ensure our service providers are compensated for the time. We understand that this can be disappointing to pay for a service not received and understand how you may feel frustrated. We do our best to remind you of upcoming appointments with confirmation texts and ask that you do your part in cancelling in time or showing up to the appointment.
