        Dr. Gettelfinger is a professional and fantastic physician. He is a great listener, has a wonderful bedside manner, and is above all, caring. He knows his "stuff"!

        50-Something I was hit by a dumptruck at 15 & have endured 36-37? Surgeries. Was told MANY years ago I would walk with a cane forever & be in a wheelchair by this age. I work in broadcast journalism & have been blessed to have lived many places including the USVI & ALASKA ... I'm born & true blue (Red) Hoosier So much to tell but will say I love research & have worked hard with my pain through the years & have been blessed with Dr.Gettelfinger & his team for at least ten yrs now I believe. I continue to work & travel thanks to them. Dr.G is tough' ... But he's fair! As a pain patient one knows there is no magic that releases the pain monster totally. I don't like advertising that suggest that. Pain creates anxiety & vice-versa. With correct management from a doc like Dr.G & self discipline this can be controlled to a bare min & help maintain a good quality of life. Dr.G & Forte Sports deserves a high mark for a qualified team they have brought together & is now available here in Indiana. Good Will & God Bless

        Well it's nice to see all these compliments and all these statements I wish I would have received the same I've seen three doctors in pain 24/7 both feet are numb can't move my toes they burn when I stand up I feel like I'm being electrocuted feels like tight tight socks hard to even walk use a walker and showes are really hard Lucky I have a shower chair also sleep not much of it was told ibuprofen or Tylenol and I'm still waiting to be seen by another doctor now so who knows I just wasn't real pleased with my experience at all. Glad others were done better. I was put on gabapentin which did help the burning and I was told it was also for pain which it does not help for pain at all it helps burning that was it. But as you can see I'm still dealing with it and it's not been fun it mentally is driving me crazy. And to top it all off I have two herniated bulging disc L5 s1 in my back so yeah I'm frustrated mentally and physically

      A true Hoosier at heart, Dr. Gary Gettelfinger has been practicing in Bloomington, Indiana, for more than 20 years. Born in New Albany, Indiana, he served in the United States Navy following his residency. He started a pain clinic in Okinawa, Japan, and continued it in Camp Pendleton, California, before returning home to the Hoosier State. Dr. Gettelfinger's focus areas include: ● Anesthesia ● Chronic Pain Medicine Dr. Gettelfinger has four beautiful children and a wonderful wife, Karen Hrisomalos, who practices dentistry in Bloomington. He loves spending time hunting, skiing, traveling with his family and helping with his church.
