Small Favors

One of my favorites in town. Excellent staff, both FOH and BOH. I love the conversations Ive had here and the cocktails are ahhhh-mazing. No complaints only good vibes!

We had a wonderful evening at small favors once again ! Service was excellent our server knew how to speak about their menu really well. I really enjoy the dishes we tried : the coppa, the glazed carrots and the smoked fennel dip! These 3 plates to share were more than enough for 2! I was a chef ( French) and this is one of my favorite places in town because I am always genuinely surprised by the creativity of this cuisine and the quality of the ingredients! It definitely makes a difference! We'll be back !

After reading all the excellent reviews for this place, our expectations were high. However, our experience was quite different. My steak and scapes was blah. Steak (skirt steak?) was sliced into 4 or 5 small pieces that were gray, tough and gristly. Was wondering if they sous vide the steak and then grill. Fat was not caramelized. Not delicious. Our friends scallop tostada had numerous brown chunks that he assumed were the scallops. They had a very strong fishy taste. Did not look like scallops. The place was extremely loud and was very difficult to have any meaningful conversations. In addition, we found it somewhat offensive that a 20% gratuity is automatically included in the bill. And they encourage you to add more. Will not go back.
