When my income taxes were uploaded from a physical copy to a digital copy by the department of revenue, they did not upload my IT 40 PNR. This caused me to owe quite a bit of money, wrongfully, to the state. I brought my entire tax return to this office on September 16th and was told that I only needed to resubmit the PNR. The person working uploaded it, and assured me that I should be patient for the next few months. I was patient, but today I received another demand for payment from the department of revenue. The last notice before my debt is sent to collections. I called and waited to speak with a representative at the main office who then told me that the Bloomington Department of Revenue office was told on September 20th, four days after I had been there, that they wanted additional supporting documents that I had had in my hand that day--and have mailed in the past. Nobody told me that this notification arrived at the Bloomington in Office. I could have hand-carried it in that day. This is extremely un-professional and this impossible-to-rectify situation has placed a daily strain on me and my family.
