Hi Derrick, As a parent myself, I understand how hearing about this interaction secondhand could elicit a protective response. Of course, following your review, we immediately wanted to review the situation so we could address concerns with our team. The reason our staff did not check cameras in the moment, was because they did not think she was stealing. 
She had looked at a ring, which we invite all customers to do, but had innocently placed it on a different display. Because it wasn't placed back in its display, our staff assumed she had the ring and asked if she would like them to box it for her - a standard procedure for us is to box up jewelry while customers continue browsing the rest of the store. When she expressed that she didn’t have the ring, they asked if she could show them where she had put it, so they could return it to its proper display. There were no accusations of theft made.As a parent, I have boldly defended my children, even when only hearing their perception of an event. It’s what we do and I understand that protective emotion.
I also feel protective of my team, especially when I have the chance to review both sets of footage (your daughter’s visit to the store and your subsequent visit) and see that our team acted politely and respectfully, then were, in turn, berated and threatened.As requested, our team member apologized to your daughter.
