The staff here could mess up an order for a glass of water. I rarely go here anymore because of it but when I do surprise the rush you while you order and cant get your order right. Not to mention my cold sandwiches. I gave 1 star because 0 wasnt as option

Stood at the register for 10 minutes till someone came over to take our order.
I ordered a sausage biscuit with cheese a hashbrownand iced tea. Cashier rang up a sausage Mc muffin. Then gave me the wrong receipt. My friend ordered a sausage McDuffie and was charged for a sausage biscuit.
Not a great experience.

Not only did we have to wait an extraordinary amount of time, when I got to the window they didn't have our order at all for reasons beyond me. But I try to be patient and as forgiving as I can. Then they gave me a bag that was NOT our order...glad I checked it before we left. So the lady asked me for my receipt, which I gladly handed over. Eventually she came back to the window with our bags. since they didn't get the order correct the first time I checked my bag, and even though THEY HAD MY RECEIPT that clearly showed everything we ordered, the order was missing 2 more items! After sitting in the car and trying to get her attention, finally got the last 2 items. First and quite possibly last time I visit the McDonald's in Monticello. Again, I can easily forgive mistakes because we all make them. But this was quite egregious.

I usually go pretty late at night but sometimes I do go during the day. During the day the food is bleh even for fast food standards. The staff is usually rude too. But at night the kids that work there usually do a lot better. There's almost always one kid that is taking my order (the same kid) and he does a pretty good job. Right to the point, takes the order quickly, if he's in the middle of taking another order when I pull up I can tell he's trying to be quick with the next order but not to the point where he's rushing the other person and being rude. The kids at the pickup window are pretty quick to get me my food too. They greet me, smile, and everything. These kids are probably in high school and almost always do better than the day staff who are usually grown adults. There was maybe one time I had to wait a little bit for some fries because they forgot to get them. Maybe they cleared the screen and thought they gave them to me. When they saw me sitting there they didn't have to ask what I was waiting for, they quickly knew what I was waiting for and got it for me. The kids at night are pretty good with keeping up with the freshness of the food too. So, if you're going to go to this McDonald's know day shift is a flip of a coin on if it'll be good or not, but the night shift kids do MUCH better. So, this rating is basically for night shift, cuz if I was to rate it based off day shift I'd give it 2 stars... But I've made a point to avoid this place during the day for a while because of that.
