I recently visited Bird in the Hand for a casual lunch with some friends. The double smashburger hit the spot perfectly. Juicy and cooked to order, with crisp bacon providing a nice crunch with smoked Gouda cheese, caramelized onion and their special sauce. I'm always impressed when a simple burger is prepared so well. While the food was great, it was the sides that really stole the show ! Perfectly cut and cooked until crisp on the outside but soft within, they had a great potato flavor and were impossible to stop eating. In fact, I may have to make a return trip soon just to order another basket of those fries. We also sampled the peach pie shake! The textures and flavors blended together beautifully for a real taste of summer on a plate. It was the perfect way to finish our meals. I'll definitely be back to Bird in the Hand again soon. The quality and care put into every dish is apparent. It's a relaxed yet delightful spot for dinners, sharing plates, or just grabbing a quick bite. The whole experience left me feeling satisfied and happy - what more could you ask for from a local restaurant?

Wonderfully cooked smashburger, and maybe the best fries I've ever had. I also recommend the pickle chips.

Not a fan. I expected a bit more for the price. Chicken sandwich just ok. Fries, ok...but just. Try somewhere else for a chicken sandwich.

The service was great. Food was pretty good. We dined in with a small child and could have used a highchair. I thought the brew and burger combo was pretty unique. I plan on bringing my husband back. Dietary restrictions: There aren't many choices for low carb or gluten free options unless you ask for a salad with no bread.

Super cute restaurant, I love the decor and open seating, and overall theres a good vibe. When we visited we wanted to sit in the outdoor area, but it had recently rained and everything was too wet and dirty to use. I got a chicken sandwich and it was okay, nothing too special. It was too moist so the bread got a little soggy and it fell apart as I ate it, which isnt the ideal experience for a crispy chicken sandwich. The fried pickles were GREAT but be warned that the servings are big! I was with a group of 5 and we got 3 orders, now its 3 days later and were still eating fried pickles (luckily they warm up well in the air fryer)! Overall it was a good experience but didnt quite meet my expectations. Pretty expensive for an order-at-the-counter place ($90 for 5 people).
