Hi Melissa, thank you for your review. I’m sorry your experience with us did not meet your expectations. I personally delivered much of your food and asked multiple times if all was good or if I could bring you anything. I received only positive comments from you with the exception of the person with you who commented that his Cajun boiled crawfish did not have any spice. I assured him that there is definitely lots of Cajun spices in our boil but that we had to be cautious with over spicing. In our 13 years of experience, we found that people won’t eat the crawfish if they are too spicy. In my efforts to make it right, I offered to bring to you some of our special spices to add to the crawfish and he agreed for me to do that. I brought back to your table some of our dry spices along with a small cup of garlic butter suggesting to combine both so he could dip the shelled crawfish for extra flavor. He simply sprinkled the spices on his whole crawfish platter. We all chuckled when I warned him to be careful touching his face/eyes after eating the crawfish. Again, asked if all was good and you said yes. I also brought to your table the bread pudding you ordered trying to check in with you once again to make sure all was ok and your answer was still yes all was fine. Please know that I would have done what I could to make it right if you had told me something was wrong. I have not yet sampled the breaded oysters but I will today to investigate the bitter taste you experienced. I’m glad you enjoyed the oysters on the half shell. They are really good and big this year. I’m glad you liked our hoagie bread…they are ideal for po’boys. As far as the bread pudding, there are lots of recipe variations for bread pudding; some have raisins, some have nuts, some are made with a bourbon sauce. Our recipe is a family recipe that we’ve used over the years and it does have nutmeg and cinnamon but no cloves. Our bread pudding sauce is a vanilla sauce all of which is homemade. I’m sorry you didn’t like it. Had I known, I would have taken it off your bill. With that, we appreciate your time in posting this review and we hope you consider another visit in the future.
