160 Driving Academy of Gary

I recently completed my training at 160 Driving Academy in Gary, IN, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. While the instructors were undoubtedly the highlight of the school, the overall condition of the facilities, particularly the yard, was deplorable. Firstly, upon arrival, I was shocked to find the yard in a dilapidated state. The presence of abandoned buildings and trucks scattered around the premises painted a grim picture of neglect. It's disheartening to see such disregard for the upkeep of the training environment. Moreover, my frustration was compounded when I was denied the opportunity to retake my driving test. Despite having completed the necessary training and securing funding through WorkOne, I was informed that my $350 voucher would not be accepted due to the test proctor's personal grievances. I find it perplexing that a private phone call, which I conducted politely, could somehow offend the proctor and hinder my ability to take the test. To make matters worse, Dana, the sole test proctor at the location, is refusing to conduct my test, leaving me with no choice but to seek alternative testing facilities. Despite my efforts, the school has offered no assistance in finding a resolution or guiding me through the necessary steps. In conclusion, while the instructors at 160 Driving Academy in Gary, IN, are commendable, the dismal condition of the facilities and the lack of support in crucial matters such as test scheduling and resolution of issues have left me deeply disappointed. I would caution others considering this institution to thoroughly assess their options before enrolling. Overall, my experience with 160 Driving Academy in Gary, IN, was highly unsatisfactory, and I cannot recommend it to others. I would like to give 160 1 million stars . I would like to start of at the start day 1 going to the yard very new and different environment but once you get used to it and meet the instructors and talk to them they become family . I love my 160 family and theyll always have a spot in my heart passed the cdl test on my first try .

My time with 160 Driving Academy has been great. I graduated in 4 weeks. The instructors were awesome. The branch manager Armeika is super cool and super cute and super professional.

Highly would recommend going to this school and location. The most important thing is, you have to want it. Im not claiming it to be an elite 4 year degree, but if you put in the time, work and effort the results will speak for itself. All the instructors at this location are brilliant. The amount of skill and knowledge you apprehend in such short amount of time is incredible. My job ask me why do I have so much confidence at driving my truck and I always tell them you can only be as great as your teacher. Safety is the name of the game. Thank you 160 driving academy!
