image Same thing that Im seeing everyone else saying is also my experience. Sent my 82 year old grandpa home after staying for one day after falling and being on the ground for 7 hrs before reaching the phone to call for help. They made sure he could hobble across the floor 160 ft (and exactly that) and sent him packing. Now it's 330 am and I'm sitting in the adjacent room to him getting called in to help him every 30 min to help him go to the bathroom etc bc they sent him home before he was strong enough to stand on his own and walk without someone keeping him upright. If it weren't for me taking total care of him, he'd be dead bc he lives alone. They are sending a home nurse tomorrow but he was frail and they should have never let him go home until he regained SOME strength. He's helpless without me. He needed a cup of coffee, and the nurse just ignored him all day long. Had his call light on for hrs and she'd walk right past him. Just careless. And the nursing staff are not very nice at all. Don't send anyone you love here unless you have no choice. Especially for something serious.

image If you want to see the repercussions of hiring with DEI go to Marion Hospital. Lots of racist black people working there. Was left in an ER room overnight with no call button, no water and not checked on for heart issues. Never going back and I suggest nobody goes there, not even for a blood draw. Absolutely filthy.

image I've been coming here for many years for different types of things. For example after my car accident or when I have my beautiful daughter. The people made me feel welcome and made me feel at home. But today was the worst. I took my mom up here because she's been sick for the last 4 days unable to hold anything down dehydrated, nauseous and in alot of pain. And they made a joke out of her pain. Laughed at her when she was about to get sick and ran into someone's room because she couldn't find the bathroom. Nobody helped my mother and just watched back and made it into a laughing session. Listen if you are going to work into a health care field. HELP PEOPLE! You don't laugh at them when there in a need of help. I'm shocked to see how these nurses are and how they act honestly I will not be returning to this hospital. The staff is disrespectful and rude and I wouldn't want them to treat my daughters this way. I would rather make an hr drive to make sure we get the best quality care possible. How it should be at an emergency room.

image Not only have I had bad experiences myself here, but now my dad is. My father is usually transferred out to Fort Wayne when he goes due to his conditions and the severity of them. This time he was not transferred out, which was fine with me because he was closer to home. Yesterday 12/15/23, my fianc and I went to see him because he had told me they were going to send him home. He was just in critical care on 12/13/23. When we went to his room, he was NOT stable enough to go home. My dad hates the hospital but he said himself that he was not strong enough to come home. I had told the nurse and when I was called into the hallway to speak to them I was disgusted. The nurse practitioner ( I didnt catch her name, I was too angry to care) told me that he was only there for as long as he was (he went 12/11/23) so they could see the infection go into his blood stream (he has an infection in his bones) and send him home on hospice. At that point I was angry, disappointed, and just disgusted. I asked the nurse if she could have him sent to a different hospital ya know to actually have doctors and nurses who care about him getting better instead of dying. She said No. There was no explanation to why, just no. Then I had asked if he could go into a nursing home for a little bit to be monitored 24/7. Thats when she actually said yes. When I went back in to talk to my dad I noticed he was wincing when he swallowed anything. I asked what was going on and he said his tongue and throat were hurting really bad. I told a nurse and she looked at it. She said yep you have blisters on your tongue and just walked out of the room. Before we left I went out and asked if my dad could get something for his throat. They told me yes, this was around 4:30 PM. I called my dad to tell him goodnight at 10 PM. I asked if he had gotten anything for his throat. He told me no. IT SHOULD NOT TAKE 5 AND A HALF HOURS TO GIVE MY DAD A COUGH DROP!!!!! The moral of this review is, Marion hospital is a bandaid factory. You go in, they give you the simplest diagnosis, and they send you home. Please, if you are having a genuine problem, do not go to this hospital. They are killing people here.
