    Took my Explorer for an oil change (March 2024), filter change, and new break pads. I also asked them to look it over as I am driving for vacation in a few days. They wanted to change my spark plugs, and do an entire alignment (steering wheel is crooked and was not fixed the first time I took it in for pulling to the right) and was quoted $1900. I told them no, I will just stick to the original items. When they called for payment, I owed $1500. I paid and waited for my receipt (I was extremely busy at work when they called for payment). After viewing my receipt, I noticed they changed all four rotors. No one said anything about rotors and I had recently gotten them changed. When I called to dispute that, the lady on the phone told me they do not change break pads without changing the rotors, as it voids a warranty. I know better than this, but she was adamant. When I told her I just had my rotors and breaks changed, she argued and said that I havent been in for those items in a long time (fall of 2022). I asked for the manager. The service manager got on the phone and explained that they always change the rotors with the break pads (absolutely not needed). He then tries to explain how I now have a 2 year warranty on all 4 rotors and tried to butter me up. However, I just had my rotors changed in fall of 2022! When I made that point, he apologized. I was refunded the cost of the back two rotors, but I was still charged for labor as that is not covered under warranty - EVEN THOUGH THAT SERVICE WAS NOT NEEDED. The back two NEW rotors only had 28,000 miles driven on them and the manager tried to tell me I drove almost 40,000 to make it seem like they needed changed. I was refunded the cost of one of the front rotors due to not authorizing the service but still had to pay all labor. I was initially offered to bring my vehicle back in to have the old rotors put back on and new ones removed - not convenient, terrible option, and poor customer service prior to the service manager knowing or even looking at my service record. No one mentioned anything to me about rotors, I did not agree to that service. I was also charged for something covered under warranty. I am a woman and I feel that I was lied to, and taken advantage of by this service team. You do not need to get your rotors changed every time you change your breaks. Had I not stood my ground, I would be out even more money. I have sold this dealership two cars and purchased my Explorer brand new from them in 2018. I am a great, loyal customer. My son will be needing a car soon and I always purchase new for myself, I will never return to this dealership to purchase or service any vehicle. I have receipts and records for all services.
