I had completed my firefighter I/II course here in the 23 winter class and was planning to attend their spring EMT course this year. Had filled out the notify me when registration opens up. Never received any email then went on their site around Dec 20 and said class was full even though had never received any emails. I then emailed asking why no notification was sent as was still interested. Now its February and still waiting on an email back. This place is an absolute joke to deal with. Also, have had friends do other firefighter I/II courses offered at other local FDs and the amount of hands on training they receive vs what is received at C9 is mind blowing and really makes it seem like you get shorted by going here.

Ok, so I only took the adult EMT class at Central Nine Career center. So this review is solely based on this program alone. I took this class about a year ago and was in it all the way until the end of the semester. Im going to withhold his name out of respect for privacy, but the individual in charge of this program was simultaneously a paramedic at White River Township Fire Department. I was doing well in the class, and I had an A all the way up until the end of the class. They made us take a pass/fail final test for the class (which is already not making sense for people who have As in the class like myself). This test was made by this individual I mentioned that is in charge of the program. The final test was ridiculously hard. I would say that over half of the material was over anatomical and physiologically questions that I have not even covered in my current Anatomy and Physiology classes in college. Needless to say, I did not meet their self-designated score to pass. Our instructor for the class (actually not the individual in charge of the program) LEFT THE CLASS and I witnessed multiple people cheating on their phones to find answers. And its funny to me that these people passed this exam We were given an opportunity to retake the test. And I actually asked one of the instructors to go over the answers, as multiple questions also had multiple answers that could correctly answer the question. The instructor forgot to take down the correct answers for us to view on the page outside of the classroom. So i studied them. The next class, those same questions were on the retake, and I passed. The next class the head instructor was on a call to address me separately and called me academically dishonest for studying those questions that THEY FORGOT TO TAKE DOWN. So according to this paramedic that works at White River Township Fire Department, being academically dishonest is when you use what was mistakenly left up by one of your instructors, and being academically dishonest is NOT cheating on your phone for answers on your test while the instructor leaves the classroom during a pass/fail test for the course. So I took ANOTHER hard retake and failed. And they kicked me out of the class. And i am almost certain i would have passed the tests for the certification outside of the classroom. Oh yeah, I had to attend multiple (unpaid) 12-hour clinicals at Fire Departments where they LAUGHED at me for not being shown how to even use a glucometer. Rightfully so, they questioned what we were actually being taught I am not joking or over-exaggerating when I say that probably over 75% of the students were kicked out of this class from the beginning to the end. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PROGRAM. IT IS SET UP TO KICK THE MAJORITY OF THE CLASS OUT.
