This school is terribly set up and does not have the right take on how they punish students. The teachers are more fond to hispanic / latino students and African American students get treated unfairly majority of the time. When even the slightest miscommunication happens , a teacher sends a student out without even talking to them. When they get sent to the office the teacher gets the bigger word and the student never gets heard out. Racial things happen on a daily , and are never discussed. The school is ran terribly. Elementary students usually are okay , but the bigger grades 6 and up are just not ran right. They never listen to students problems or ask about them , the learning environment is toxic , and a lot of students dont even feel comfortable with talking to their teachers. They hire subs that creep on children which is on the news , and it didnt just happen with her it almost happened with a couple of more which i do know personally. The school is going down hill, and students even get picked on by teachers , usually the African - American ones. I would look into the school before putting your child in it, and also listen to your child when they say the teachers are in the wrong because they deserve to be heard.

As a previous student from 2 to 8 the beginning of the school (during my 2-4) were pretty well ran and actually quite fun however it changed when different directors took over and ran the school much differently. Now its pretty bad and racist most of the Hispanic and black kids arent treated the same, with the teachers also quitting on and off with poor skills at hand. The atmosphere is just not the same with the bad grades that come from the teachers fault as they do not know how to teach nor respect the students as they should. Even if the school runs on the kids grades they dont have a single care about what their real grades should value up to. The stress builds on the kids leaving them crushed by the pressure. The teachers miscommunication is something that also goes around the fault is mainly pinned on the student when it could have been solved easily. There is absolutely no reason as to why you should send your kid to a school of this kind. I suggest looking elsewhere and listen to your kids if anything goes wrong. The school is ran as if it were a prison.

This school caters to African and Hispanic children. It is not designed for Black children. Especially boys. They have no mentor program for black children If your child sneezes the wrong way( gets in a little trouble) they call home/ send the child home. Teachers do not have training to redirect/ have a conversation with black children. 1st thing they do is remove them from the learning environment, which is not good. The principal and asst. Have never opened a conversation as to how they can help your child. They have other staff members call you to come pick up your child. This school is trash and doesn't even deserve one star
