        I own Kolar Roofing and when attempting to cut out approximately 200 tons of land and spread gravel for my shop, it has been a challenge finding a good contractor. Last year another one of the other big name local guys came out with an approved quote (much higher cost) and ended up hitting my buried camera line, dumping approximately 100 tons of dirt in my front yard, and then walking away when I expressed that I was displeased with the large pile of dirt on my lawn. After that I couldn't find anyone for months! Ed for E.L. Paving came out last week to assess the situation and he gave me a fair price for the gravel. They tore out stumps, cut in the dirt and spread the gravel in 2 days. They did all kinds of extras for me (pulling stumps, moving the old dirt pile, etc.) Job looks great, the equipment he has is astounding and the guys were awesome to work with. I'm in the contracting industry, and I experienced the struggles homeowners are always telling me about with finding good contractors. EL is the one. Thanks guys!

      E&L Paving and Construction is a well-established family-owned business with over 40 years of experience – working primarily for the railroad industry.  Specializing in commercial paving, excavation, and site preparation, we also have a crushing division offering aggregates for pickup or delivery.  Our scope includes most of Northern to Central Indiana, Southwest Michigan and the Chicago Metro area and surrounding communities.  Our railroad experience includes excavating for new tracks, preparing subbase with compacted aggregate, building & installing tracks, turnouts, and concrete tub crossing installation, complete track removal, excavation, and paving.  We also have many years as a commercial excavation contractor, working closely with General Contractors to achieve complete site preparation, foundation digs, survey, and grading expertise.  We also provide trucking services for both materials and equipment.  Winter months include snow removal and salt application.
