I used to work here and I like the company there really good at making things look nice I enjoyed working with this company I would definitely rate them a 5 star I would definitely use them and work for them again. I wanted to use Lawn and Shrub. I heard they had a great reputation and they're close to my home in north east Lafayette. The representative came to my home in early spring 2022. He was on time. And that's about the only good thing I can say about my experience. I realize that my request for a "tropically inspired" landscape plan was a bit out of the ordinary, and I've done enough research to know that I cannot literally have zone 9 plants in zone 5. However, I wanted plants and a landscape design that would lend towards that "Floridiana" feel, such as cold hardy banana plants, elephant ears in containers, grasses, hostas, etc. The sales guy wasn't interested in my "odd ball" project, but he told me he'd "pass it on to the girl in the office." She never contacted me. During the meeting, the guy kept trying to "qualify me" ... maybe to see if I could afford their services. He even asked me what my husband did for a living. What is this? 1950? I own my own business and paid for this project personally, not my husband. I ended up hiring an online landscaping firm and implemented the project myself, hiring out various aspects of the work. See the attached photos. I got exactly what I wanted without Lawn and Shrub. I spent about $40K on the landscape plan, hardscaping (fire pit, paver walkways), landscaping (new beds with gravel) and plants, so perhaps my project was too small? In any event, I'll never call Lawn and Shrub again, even though I have phase 2 of my project still left to do (pergola, more concrete, waterfall, outdoor kitchen, outdoor shower, etc). Lawn and Shrub, I would have been fine (and not written this bad review), had you merely said that my project was out of scope to your skill set, or that you don't specialize in "custom" projects, or that you were too booked to take on my project. But to waste my time with an appointment, treat me in a patronizing way, and then never call back....well, I can't overlook that.
