Aster Place

This place lacks order in general. The nurses are always busy yet are always listening to music and ignoring requests from people. Overall a bad environment if you need to place someone into a nursing home.

Im so glad that this place may have improved. My father was there less than a year. I didnt want him there because he was a smoker and it was a no smoking facility. Not at all a good choice for him. But I lost leverage with the rest of my family and he ended up at aster place. He didnt last a year. He went out for a smoke and fell in the parking lot. If it hadnt been for a kitchen worker going out for a smoke, god knows how long he would have been lying there. He died from that fall. Im glad to see this place has apparently changed since my father was there. Im not convinced (however) that it would be a place I would ever recommend for a loved one. I find it very interesting that no one from Aster place responded to my original review.

Horrible place nurses are always leaving residents unintended and constantly choose to ignore the residents as well. Higher ups are always messing things up and treating workers horribly, this is supposed to be a trusted environment and I feel like never retuning again. Do better.

I'm new to your community but learned about this place from a Facebook grilling giveaway post. From your about page it looks like this place is great for all those who are employed and those who are serviced by you.

I came back here after graduated because I thought the staff was getting better.They did, everyone else was great except the nursing staff. First of all I would like to say there is a nurse from the agency who is usually on the AL side who works in the evening and then leaves around 11pm when I was new there she was nice but when I started working with her she is very rude with a nasty attitude. The DON and the agency nurse are like best friends, so if you have a disagreement with her, she will call the nurse blatantly lie saying you dont like doing your work. You will be pulled into the office. They are severely understaffed and underpaid. Even agency nurses who have worked there say they arent coming back. They are horribly disorganized (every agency worker I've worked with has told me this) and I've seen it myself. I love the CNA aspect of caring for residents, but working in places like this makes me hate coming to work every day. Ive worked at better nursing homes. Don't work here, save yourself energy and time. Although, I don't regret it because it taught me a lesson to make sure I scope out every building before accepting any job. If you love Drama this is your work place!! They also dont like when you speak your mind to them.
