First Expressions

Sienna has helped me breastfeed all 4 of my kiddos going back almost 8 years now. Shes very knowledgeable and passionate. She made me feel so comfortable and even met me at the dentist when my baby had a lip/tongue tie release! She literally held my hand during the procedure. When it comes to her photography, Sienna ALWAYS captures my crazy crew perfectly! My kiddos are always all over the place and she was patient, kept their attention, and got the best photos!

Siena is an angel! She is a tie savvy LC- so patient and answers every question not only with her plethora of knowledge but also with compassion and understanding. She helps to bring clarity and calm in the often murky and dizzying world of TOTs. I assure you- you will be left feeling empowered and clear after speaking with her. Becoming a mom for the first time is the most exciting yet terrifying thing I have experienced so far and I am so incredibly grateful to have had Sienna by my side for all of it! Sienna captured my maternity pictures and was even patient enough to deal with my crazy fur babies! She had them back so quick and Ive never felt more beautiful (just wait). When I got admitted unexpectedly for an induction, Sienna was so supportive and ready. Laboring was fun believe it or not and she was a huge advocate for me when things started going haywire. I labored for two days and pushed for forty minutes before being taken back for an emergency c-section. Throughout it all I felt like I had my best friend there! I thought my maternity pictures were the most beautiful I had felt UNTIL I saw my pictures with my beautiful baby girl Sienna captured. As a new mom I was anxious about breastfeeding and she was able to assist more than the three lactation consultants from the hospital and never made me feel judged or uncomfortable. Sienna is an incredible photographer, doula, and human and I am so glad I chose her to be included in this part of my story.

We used First Expressions for newborn photos and did them at her office. The office was very welcoming and peaceful. The photo props were great quality and Siennas handling of my baby was very comfortable and safe. I was nervous to allow someone to pose him but she was gentle, would take frequent breaks with him, and allow me to feed him as needed. She also didnt bat an eye when he peed all over her set up! She soothed him easily and we got wonderful photos in a super timely manner.

I have always been hesitant to ask for help and often feel uncomfortable when I am not sure the answers. I was referred to First Expressions after seeing our pediatrician, another lactation consultant and a pediatric dentist. I was nervous, especially because this was all new to me. I nursed my other two children without any assistance so for my third child to struggle with latching and transferring milk I was lost. Sienna was so comforting and kind. My first appointment I cried because the pediatrician has said there was no point in breastfeeding if my baby took a bottle. Sienna let me cry and get it all out. She then asked what my goals where and was determined to help me reach them. My little one ended up with a lip/tongue tied that needed released. Sienna was there to help before and after the release surgery. She helped me feel confident in my abilities as a mother when I was feeling oh so defeated. She was like another mom friend that I desperately needed. Thanks to Sienna and her partner Leasa at Genesis Orofacial, I have been able to successfully nurse my child after her surgery. We went from poor weight gain, painful latch, and non-existent transfer of milk to successful transfer of milk and nonpainful latch. They saved my breastfeeding journey. I couldn't have done it without them. I would 10/10 recommend Sienna from First Expressions!
