        A safe and exciting ride, but their wake trashes my boat every time they pass by on the Kentucky River. I had to purchase a low center of gravity teapot and tie down my cooler whenever I know they will be in the area to keep it from getting knocked off the counter. The pilot and customers make a friendly wave, but their thunder boat waves smack me and my boat with several hundred pounds of force. The wake also drags trash/debris off the bank and out of log jams that pepper the river with flotsam after they pass. Out on the Ohio River you expect wakes of this size, but on the Kentucky, it has an outsized impact. Good thing it only takes them about 60 seconds to pass by. The river remains agitated for 20 minutes after they pass. In the ultimate analysis, we are glad to have them plying the Kentucky to Frankfort on a regular basis. The ride is a REAL adventure managed by competent, professional river men and women.

      Hello Ken. I am sorry that the wake from our boat rocks your teapot. We try to stay as far away from other boats as we can while on our tours but sometimes due to river conditions or boat traffic we have to share the channel. This is the Ohio River, one of the major waterways in the USA, Everyday barges, commercial and recreation fishermen, waterskiers and wakeboarders use the river. There is no way to boat on the Ohio River without experiencing wake from other boats. Since we operate our tours on a schedule let us know when you are on the water and we will stay as far away from you as possible and keep from rocking your teapot.Capt Paul Nicholson812-701-1155

      Hello Nancy. Thank you for the kind words. I am glad you enjoyed the river tour. While the Abe Lincoln story I told happened on the Ohio River it did not happen in Madison. He did pass by Madison on the river though from his early days in Congress. Capt Paul
