We had a great stay here over Labor Day weekend! The owners are so nice, and they cooked us a delicious breakfast both mornings we were there.
Nearby activities: Turkey Run park is just down the street - very convenient location.

We had a lovely stay at Grannys Farmhouse while visiting Turkey Run State Park, less than a five-minute drive away. Its truly in the country, and we loved the peacefulness of the slower pace while we stayed there.
The land has been in the same family for five generations. The farmhouse is a Sears and Roebuck house, and all the renovations to make it a B&B have kept the original charm of the house. Every room having its own private bath was a huge bonus for a B&B too! Room 2 upstairs is the only room without an en suite bathroom, but the private bath across the hall is the most spacious bathroom. (Before the house was renovated, it was the only bathroom in the house.)
The owners, Sam and Judy, served us a delicious breakfast each morning, and that was really the only time we interacted with other guests. When my spouse and I travel, we tend to prefer more private lodgings with fewer shared spaces, but we essentially had the whole house to ourselves both days we were there. The price is extremely reasonable too!
We didnt bring much food to cook our own meals, but you could likely use the kitchen for that. Theres a cluster of restaurants and takeout places 15 minutes south in Rockville (we got takeout pizza from Pizza Hut), the Turkey Run Inn is open for all three meals (after paying the modest entrance fee for the park), and the Turkey Run Gas & Grill just around the corner was perfect for one of our meals.
We would GLADLY stay here again!
Nearby activities: Turkey Run has top-notch hiking in canyons you didnt know could exist in Indiana. We saw all ages and all kinds of groups on the trails.
Billie Creek Village is a working farm about 20 minutes away that would be a great day activity.
There are lots of Amish farms in the area where you could likely buy fresh produce.
Walkability: This house is on a back country road, so not really walkable to anything unless youre really adventurous and would like to walk to the Gas & Grill around the corner, or to Turkey Run State Park (but youll do a lot more walking and hiking there!)
Food & drinks: Absolutely delicious breakfast! Plenty of simpler restaurant options within a 5- to 20-minute drive as well.
Noteworthy details: This is a Sears and Roebuck house that has been carefully renovated to accommodate three suites and a fourth room with a private bath directly across the hall. A newer barn right next door has a fifth suite that can accommodate more than two guests.
