One of the most welcoming places. We started coming when the previous owners had it and it was amazing. Now with the new owners nothing has changed. Still the same great atmosphere and most welcoming group of guys. Can't wait to spend some more time here!

My partner and I stayed at Stag Run a couple of years ago when it was owned by different people. It wasnt really very crowded, but we had fun nonetheless. We felt welcome, we ate dinner, socialized at the pool, went on a hay ride and even made bird houses. We recently returned to a campground that looks the same on the outside but is very different on the inside. It was not a friendly place and we left wondering if there were some rules we didnt follow because of the way everyone talked down to us. The owners said they had some donuts they were about to throw in the trash, but they could give them to us instead if we wanted them. I think they actually felt like we should be flattered for being offered what they considered to be trash. Were not the richest people but we didnt ask for or need anything extra from anyone. We had a horrible time.

Pay attention to the dates of these reviews (very old). Current owners took over in 2021. The campground itself is nice and clean, but the atmosphere is not welcoming toxic is more like it. Even the owners take part in the point-stare-laugh-gossip routine around the pool. And its expensive we paid $80 for two day-passes. We felt like unwelcome intruders, and when we were leaving, the owners offered us donuts they had just thrown in the trash. Needless to say, we wont be back. Nice facility, but horrible environment. Go to Camp Buckwood instead, youll like it A LOT better.
