    DO NOT! I REPEAT DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS HOTEL .. I BOOKED FOR A NIGHT FOR A GIRLS NIGHT FOR MY BIRTHDAY AND MY BAG WAS STOLEN BY THERE HOUSEKEEPING. THEY CHANGED THERE STORY EVERYTIME I WOULD ASK ABOUT IT . LIED AND TOLD ME THAT THE MANAGER WILL BE THERE AT 9AM THE NEXT DAY AND THE MANAGER WAS THERE THE WHOLETIME I WAS AT THE FRONT DESK COMPLAINING AND GETTING FRUSTRATED. IM SO HEATED THAT I HAD TO BUY A ROOM TO BE COMFORTABLE TO END UP GETTING $500+ WORTH OF VALUABLES TAKEN FROM ME. THE POLICE IS INVOLVED.

    I was recently traveling with my 7 year old child between Ontario to Minnesota. We were looking for a halfway point with a pool for swimming. I recommend this hotel and this is why: First I must say this is a difficult region to find a family friendly property in the 100$ range. All of the hotels I found around here are aging and in need of (or in the process of renovation), so don't be offended by properties that appear "well loved." In these older properties, the management is more important than anything. Unfortunately, this is difficult to assess as a traveler - hence my obnoxiously long review! In 2024, the Country Inn & Suites was one of these older, yet conscientiously managed, properties. This may no longer be true when you read this review as improvements are in process. I called in advance to make sure the pool was in service after showing up at competitor hotel with a prepaid reservation only to find the advertised pool was "closed". I was greeted with excellent service and assured the pool was ready for us. I booked online immediately. Upon arrival, I asked if there was a room with a tub not a shower so that I could soak my sore body after driving 8 hours. The room I booked did not have a tub, and the manager (and clearly an investor in the hotel based on her intricate understanding of the hotel business) offered a free upgrade to a better room. Obviously don't expect this, they are running a business. I happened to get lucky on a slow night with excess availability. Check in was very smooth. The room was a little dated, but very clean. I ran into the manager again after checkin when she was overseeing some work on my floor. She encouraged feedback, and I shared some compliments and some constructive feedback on what I though would improve the rooms as they are updating the property. She was genuinely interested and took notes. She obviously cares about the future of this property and the experience of her guests. It is nice to know on these older properties have on site management that is invested in the property. This place felt safe, clean and management was definitely available when needed. What more can you ask for in a modest traveler hotel?

    Unfortunately, there was a missing light fixture on the ceiling, a missing lampshade on one of the lamps, missing lightbulbs in the bathroom, other lightbulbs unscrewed in the bathroom, and missing blackout curtains. There was also a light outside the window that shown in the room all night since there weren't curtains that closed. We got very little sleep due to this. I guess we got what we paid for.
