ASB has been very easy to work with. Gregg has handled the small issues we have had very professionally.

I bought a new house from ASB in October 2023. I had a few minor issues which were taken care of right away. Greg has been very helpful explaining things, following up and making sure that I love my house. A few things came up for the 30-day walkthrough and everything was taken care of professionally and in a timely manner. Robby (not sure of spelling) kept me updated on scheduling the work and making sure everything was satisfactory. I love my ASB home.

Pam and I would like to thank ASB for building our dream home. ASB made the process easy and enjoyable throughout the whole build. Everyone was helpful and worked as a team; because of their teamwork our home was done in 5 months. The craftsmanship of their homes is incomparable to other builders that we looked at. They could not compare to ASB craftsmanship that they put into their homes. They also allowed us to visit the job site at any time during the whole building process. We recommend ASB to anyone who is thinking about or wanting to build a new home.

Cant recommend homes built by them. Other neighborhoods dont seem to have problems, while mine seem to have a ton of problems - problems you wouldnt expect with the price point. Problems my home included: - Uneven floor in spots; 1 in master bedroom and 3 spots in living room/kitchen. Hit the spot just right and glasses, mugs etc move on complete other side of room. - Trim work in living room very subpar - Circuit breaker panel in a spot that makes upgrading or adding expensive and nearly impossible. - Paint will scuff by looking at it - Kitchen Island is crooked, off by 2 inches on one side - Downstairs finished room had 2 closets because thats how the plans were They are exceptionally combative and rude when you simply identify the issues at hand. Offered the owner coffee or evening drink to come by and take a look himself offered to buy it back for what I paid when the market was commanding 2 times what I paid offer wouldve made it impossible for me to buy another home. They used to be the good standard around here, but that era is long gone.

Updating this review in June 2022. Our home is now 4.5 years old, ASB built it from summer - winter of 2017. They did offer a 30 day and 1 year repair service on those things that could go wrong as the house settles. They did come repair those small things. Caveat Emptor though, once that year is past. You're on your own and they will refuse to do a thing. We moved into the home in December of 17. 4.5 years ago. Issues since then. June 2018. Water stains in two rooms on the white ceiling. ASB sent a team to repair. Roofing fixed, drywall repaired and paint. November 2018. Water stains back in Kitchen. Same place. ASB again sent a team out to repair it. Same thing. Roof, drywall, paint. January 19. Stains in kitchen again. Past 1 year warranty. ASB sends team out to repair as this repair had been done prior to warranty expiring. ( they had by that point corrected many, but not all, of the items I noted in the 1 year warranty claim I supplied them with). February 19. Superintendent comes out to spot check roof repair. Determines contractor they sent didnt do the repair. March of 19. ASB repairs roof again, and painters and dry wall team fix breakfast nook walls. Next day we have a rain storm, and I have water running out of the electrical outlets in the wall. Water and Electric. Excellent. ASB sends a new team out. Drywall removed, 2x4s and sheathing stained with mold. Insulation removed. Area allowed to dry for a week, spraying mold killer and bleach on wall. One week later, ice dam repaired on roof ( it was never installed in the first place) and inside of house has been reconstructed. April 19. Notice erosion around foundation, and under patio. Called A-1 Concrete in. They did an assessment and stated the soil wasnt compacted properly. I have holes and voids under concrete all over the exterior of the home. Driveway pads lifting and sinking, patio lifting and sinking. AC unit sinking into ground. Mounted on a cheap, flimsy, plastic tray. $2100 later, Ive had A-1 do some concrete work with holes and liquid concrete slurry. Contact ASB. David Schuler, the president, refuses to assist with any of it. States that is normal erosion. Sends superintendent out and they claim normal erosion. Fall of 19. Every carpet in the house is buckling and has ridges. Carpet wasnt stretched properly. Update June 2022. ASB's former carpet installer comes out and tells me carpets are cheapest contractor grade money can buy. They're worthless and he would have to replace them. Stated he worked with ASB for roughly a year and then refused to do business with them. Said they sell their homes for lower prices per Sq Ft than others because they take shortcuts and use the cheapest material they can get. Shower in Master Bath. Grout is crumbling. Coming out of shower when I clean it. Spring 2020. Pay to re-stretch carpet in three bedrooms. ($800) June 2020, shingles blow off of ridge cap in a nominal wind. Roofer I called stated the roofer who did this house didnt use ridge vent nails but regular short nails on the ridge cap. That is why it blew off. ($100) Fall 2020. Pay to have seed resewn in back yard. They seeded in November of 17 after the first frost. Grass never grew on half an acre. $1800. Baseboard in basement are not wood. Theyre MDF. Had carpets cleaned, and they all absorbed water and needed to be replaced. I did that work. $200 in material, a Saturday painting, cutting and installing. January 2022. $650 for carpets in basement to be re-stretched. $350 for grout to be removed and re- grouted in master bath. Concrete and erosion problems continue. Worse than the last time. Estimate A-1 charging me 2500 3500 to repair it this time. sidewalks in front buckling, patio outback buckling, driveway buckling. June 2022 - Water in Island under sink, MDF in cabinet ruined. Problem is Tail pipe from sink. Too short. Can't connect to Tee under sink before P trap. Plumber cut the Tail piece an inch too short. I should be surprised. But I'm not. ASB strikes again.
