Old school cobbler. Finest around here. I was wanting to have a more than 12 year old pair of Red Wing loggers resoled recently and rather than send them back to Red Wing or a place such as Nicks Boots, I decided to see if there was anybody local. Called Phil to ask if he did such work on these types of boots and he said bring them on in. So I dropped the boots off with him for a resole. He had them for about a month, I was in no rush and told him as much. He called me when they were ready to be picked up and let me tell you I was impressed with the work he did. And it cost 1/3 the price of a better known boot rebuilder like Nicks. I was so pleased with the work performed in fact, that I immediatly swapped the pair of boots I was picking up with the ones I was wearing that day and left him those to resole as well. Well I just picked up that second pair today and let me tell you, the second resole was just as high quality as the first. He has earned another loyal customer in me. I cannot recomend him highly enough. Its nice to find someone in a dying trade like this that truely knows what they are doing and really takes pride in their work. I hope to be a customer for many more years.
