My daughter was in an automobile accident. By the time I could get to the scene, the police had called Paddacks and they had just gotten the car onto the flatbed. They did not let me use my AAA card at the scene. After caring for my daughter, I begin the process of trying to retrieve our car. They would not even let me look at the car, let alone get items from the vehicle relative to our homes safety (e.g., garage door opener) let alone two sets of golf clubs in the trunk, license plate, etc. unless we paid a huge fee to which we had not agreed. They not only overcharged us for the tow (versus common towing expense), but were requiring that we pay $30 per day for storage. We were told we needed to choose between either the roughly $400 bill or, for $250, we could turn over the title to our car to gain access. Of course, no one ever told us that we were being charged $30 per day and they did not tell us until we got there to pick it up, leaving us with a very difficult decision, especially since I naturally did not have the title with me. They will only tow on the weekends and refuse to allow you to conduct business/pick up your vehicle except during very strict 8:30 to 5 PM hours Monday through Friday. No Saturday office hours unless you are being towed, which they are happy to do on the weekend so they can begin charging you $30 per day for storing your vehicle. This business is clearly abusing consumers to the full extent permissible under law, and there are essentially no consumer protections for situations like this. Because of what felt to us to be very unethical approaches to a difficult situation, we will do my best to use other towing agencies in the future when it is within our control. I rarely ever leave reviews, let alone negative ones, but this experience was so extreme that we felt obligated to inform others. Service: Car towing
