Due to not wanting to divulge too much personal and financial information, I will only provide an outline of my experience.Let me start by saying customer service is severely lacking at this institution.I had an IRA account maturing at First Savings and wanted to move the account to another institution.I processed all the financial forms at the institution receiving the transfer of funds. There was a five day delay getting the correct forms to First Savings. First Savings did confirm they had received the transfer forms on January 27th, 2021. I had been assured by Jenny King, more than once, that the check would be mailed out as soon as First Savings received the form, which once again was confirmed on January 27th.I assumed, wrongly, that all the wheels were turning and the check was in the mail.On February 2nd I checked with the institution receiving the funds. I was informed they had not received any funds.I called First Savings only to be told the check was never sent. As a matter of fact, the account had just been closed the previous day, February 1st. I contacted Jenny King and was told she had sent the paperwork to the home office to be processed and they sent it back to her, explaining it was up to her to process it.I was livid these funds had been sitting in limbo since January 22nd the day the account matured.Ms. King apologized and stated she would get the transfer processed. Of course at this point I had my doubts.However Ms.King called me and stated the money had been wired on February 4th.I have finally gotten confirmation from the receiving institution that they have received the funds.
