        I had my 2009 Ford escape hybrid towed to skiles due to start and shut off. They had for three days. Not knowing what was the problem. They said it was given out two codes . One for a relay. Which I believe it was when I was trying to turn it on. Second for a module or something. Either way they came to the conclusion that it needed a hybrid battery. Which I didn't believe it needed replaced. They also said that they was not authorized to do that kind of job. That I have to take it to a Ford dealership. Whom by the way will charge me for a diagnostic test again after them at skiles already did. Which was way overpriced at around 150$. It should of been around 50$. On top of that they had no clue was wrong with my . So I told them to towe it back to my . Which was overpriced too from ASAP towing co. Around 180$. To and back. It was not even that far away from each other. After they drop it off in front of my house with out notifying me. Which should of been dropoff on my driveway. Any way I got it to start and it turned on and it's stayed on this time. All I did was holding the gas pedal for a couple seconds with ignition on and then crank it . Which I read in a forum archive online that will it bypass the hybrid system. I don't if that helped. But this time it stayed on. So no hybrid battery needed. I contacted skiles after this and they had no comment. That they will get back to me. They haven't gotten back to me yet . So I wasted over 300$ for so me service. So why did it take 3 days to come up with that conclusion. Mechanic already admitted he had no idea in the first day. . By the way the car is still running.

        I called to get a quote for the brakes on my van to be done, and made an appointment for the next day. Joeys quote was not only spot on, he also gave me a military discount because of my husbands veteran status. A lot of places around here dont offer military discounts, which is a shame, so the fact that Skiles Automotive Service does, is enough to continue earning our business! Great job guys!!

      Gabriel, thank you for reaching out in regards to your experience at our shop. P0685 and P1A10 were the two codes that were present. After diagnosing, which included scanning codes, testing the hybrid control module, and the PCM, we did come to the conclusion that it needs a hybrid battery. Unfortunately, do to the high voltage equipment needed to replace the battery, we are not able to do it. Ultimately, I do not see anything wrong with the way we handled your experience at our location. We brought your vehicle in, diagnosed the problem, presented you with the repair information and informed you that we could not do that repair at our facility, and you requested it towed back to you. The "fix" that you found on a forum tricks the computer and is not an actual reputable fix for this issue. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience that you might have had with our company. We hold all members of our time to a high standard and I do not see anything wrong with the way we handled this particular situation.
