Quality Inn West Lafayette - University Area

Front desk employee was nice but was alone. Breakfast was bare minimum- waffles and Walmart brand yogurt. White bread and some oranges. Only waffles on our last day. No employee at desk at check out. Hallways were so so dirty looking. This place needs major remodeling and deep cleaning. Pool was ok. Kids went in and showered right after. Shower head kinda worked. Our room was clean but several other people complained of ants in their room and garbage left behind. I suppose I appreciate the location for the eclipse without paying high prices but would never stay here again.

Rude franchise owner. Lies. 800 ants all over my room. Had a time with no front desk staff. Told you can't walk around at night. Drug use occurs there. Don't clean up the property. Smoking is going on it the rooms even though it violates city ordinance.

I booked 3 rooms for my wife and self, and for the families of our two daughters, including 6 grandkids, for proximity to the 2024 solar eclipse. Despite concerns about hotel from existing reviews, we were very happy with service and accommodations. Hotel is dated and not in the best condition, but everything was functional. Beds were comfortable. Each room with standard refrigerator, microwave, hairdryer, etc. The central courtyard (tropical motif with real palms and rubber plants!) was particularly wonderful for the grandkids to run about in for tag and hide'n'seek. We had several picnics there too. Pool was great (for the kids again). Breakfast bar was poorly stocked, but the skeleton staff were courteous and hustled to meet guest needs as best they could. In brief, not a luxury facility by any measure, but for the modest rates charged, it was well worth it with all the necessities well provided for. Rooms: Comfortable and functional. Noteworthy details: Wonderful central courtyard with tropical motif. Amazing live vegetation. Great for indoor picnics with the family.

Disgusting hotel. The room was not cleaned at all, there was garbage on the floor left from other people. Ants in the bathroom, the toilet seat was broken, wall paper tearing, cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. The pool was dirty, cold, and there is no hot tub currently. The hallways look like they have not been vacuumed in ages. The bath turns on but upon pulling the lever for the shower the shower will not turn on. Dont stay here, pay another few dollars to stay somewhere that is actually upkept. Rooms: Dirty Noteworthy details: Dirty

The service was nice. Im glad we only needed one night. We should have seen the full reviews because the stars alone dont show all the truth. It is DIRTY. My feet never touched that rug or floor. Smells musty and old.The beds were clean at least. They need a better cleaning service and a deep cleaning of the rugs and furniture once in a while.
