This area is fortunate to have many churches to choose from-- and we visited almost every one in the area during a year long "search for a church". There are many good churches, but we are a bit picky. For us, we found that, like most areas, some churches are huge and flashy, some are too small with nothing going on, some are too "stuffy", and some are too "political". After looking at many, many churches, CBF is home for us. People were *genuinely* warm and welcoming BEFORE we stepped in the door. They have the best greeters- if you are more reserved, so are they. However, if you, or your kids, like more energy, they will bring that too (Tom- you're the best!). Beyond that, people will greet you warmly. They do want to get to know you. It is NOT the fake "Sunday morning smile" that many of us know. There are people from all walks of life at CBF. Pastor Dave is also friendly and approachable. He goes DEEP in The Word. This is not a digested PowerPoint sermon church. You are going deep in the history, context, and linguistics of each section and verse, as well as related or connected verses. Pastor Dave gets to know the people in the congregation as well. I have not seen anything quite like depth of preaching before in other churches. The music is great, and CBF is blessed to have some really great musicians (looking at you, Ben and Ashley!). The AV team is really passionate, and they do a great job as well. All of them put tons of hours in. What is really unique is that CBF spends a lot of time trying to make the music interesting, while also focusing on The Lord, and not just trying to entertain people. Another really cool thing is that the AV team is mostly comprised of kids- cameras, sound, and everything. This is a unique opportunity that I have not seen elsewhere. Great job to Nate and company! There is great fellowship at CBF, with lots of church activities to participate in. CBF has a refreshing number of men's fellowship activities compared to other churches. The guys are grounded and friendly, and they will keep you accountable, if that's what you are looking for. If not, that's cool too, no pressure. There are also a lot of kids activities, which our kids actually want to go to- and that has not happened before. Great job to pastor Mike. CBF is, for us, just the right size; not too big, not too small. Just the right number of people to make friends. Large enough to have different ministries, and governance, but not so big that you feel overwhelmed. If you want to focus on the actual truth of The Word, with some really great, grounded people, CBF may be you. I can say that CBF (well, Christ through CBF) has meaningfully changed our lives for the better. Note that this church used to be hosted in Westfield high school, but now has it's own building, which is really nice.

If you are a follower of Jesus and want to dive deeper into His Word, this church is for you!! They teach the truth and do not deviate from the gospel given by the apostles!! What a wonderful church!!
