Home Instead

Home Instead has been helping care for two family members of mine for almost a year in rural Story County. I've been very pleased with the service they provide. The people they care for love the service as well. That's important at the end of the day. I would highly recommend them if you're needing assistance in their area.

Five stars to this company and the care worker that has been assigned to us. We have had several companies and their employees in our home over the past 4+ years to help us take care our family member with Alzheimer's disease, and have never had such excellent, knowledgeable, conscientious care. Home Instead provided care to my parents for 3 years. This enabled them to stay in their home for a longer period of time when they needed help in all ADL's. I highly recommend Home Instead for anyone needing help. They became like family members to my parents. From the very top to the last Caregiver, they had excellent communication skills, professionalism, and truly caring individuals. I would be proud to work for this company myself. What a wonderful place to work!!! Ive been a caregiver for 5 years. When my company shut down I didnt know where to turn too. I reached out to Home Instead. Ive been here now for almost a year and I absolutely love it. Ive never met a company that cares so much about not only their people in service but their employees as well! Hours are flexible and pay is above average for our field. Everyday has put a smile on my face and I am proud to say that I work for Home Instead!

I have been working with Home Instead since November of 2019 and it is the best company I have worked for! As a caregiver for this company, they listen to the clients and the caregivers to work together getting perfect matches for the best outcome on both ends. Joining their team with previous experience and my CNA license as well as a history of certain specialities like dementia care and more specifically Alzheimers gave me the opportunity to shine more with those clients and their families. Their open availability allows flexibility with scheduling. Communication is key just like every job to ensure the clients are cared for if an emergency occurs. The Ames/Waukee team works together wonderfully in any time of need whether it is the clients needs or a caregivers need. Its been a pleasure the last two years and I plan to continue working for this company!
