We are very sorry to hear about your frustration, but would like to offer an explanation.We keep our phone options brief (Spanish, Lending or Customer Service) to efficiently route callers to the appropriate department, avoid multiple transfers, and long hold times. Our Contact Center staff, who answer all calls, have the same training as our team members in the branches, and they are ready to assist members with many of the same services that are requested in the branches. The advantage to having a dedicated Contact Center team is that callers don’t have to wait when staff members within the branch are serving other members. Our Call Center employees are located throughout our service area in central Iowa, and the first one who is available answers the call. This ensures your wait time is kept to a minimum. We see that our Contact Center Representative did attempt to transfer your call to personnel within the branch you requested, however the employees at that branch were busy assisting other members. We hope this explanation helps to ease your frustration and understand the "why" behind our call center - it's actually to benefit our member-owners and respect their valuable time.
