Real Property Management - Ames

We have been renting a house in Ames for over 3 years, and as long as you don't need a Plumber, they have been pretty good. With some exceptions, they are responsive within 24 hours (despite the fact that you might not be able to get them on the phone), but in the last few weeks, we've had some plumbing problems. We called them a few weeks ago because our basement was flooding when we ran water. It was on a Sunday. They said that a plumber would reach out to us on Monday. Fine. The plumber called us on Monday, and said they wouldn't be able to get to us until Thursday. THURSDAY. So, we went 4 days without water, going to gas stations to use the bathroom and finding innovative ways to bathe. They came Thursday and seemingly unclogged the lines. Thank you. A week later, one of my kids noticed that there was a leak from the ceiling in the basement. Clogged again. We called them back, this was on Wednesday, they came on Thursday (Yesterday) and tried to unclog the lines. They were having problems, possibly because they didn't have a long enough snake. They said they were going to have to escalate the issue and make it priority. That was around 9:30 on Thursday morning. It's now Friday (an observed holiday of course), and we haven't heard from the plumber, or the property management company at all. We may not renew our lease with them, because this is getting old. At the very least, they should be able to communicate WHY the plumber couldn't make it back that day, and WHEN they can make it back. Edit: I missed the comment below last year somehow. Well, I called the number he left about a week and a half ago, and he never responded. I left my number. Ironically, my complaint is about how there is very little response. Our water pressure in the kitchen sink is next to non existent, and we've left at least 3 voicemails at the management number. No response. Our air conditioning is terrible, and we've left messages about that too. No response. Don't expect them to ever get back to you. Ever.
